Hey guys,

I began putting my extra together a few days ago, all i have done is put it on it's legs and hinge the elevators.

I will begin posting pictures later today.

Setup:

JR 8911HV's all the way around. 4 per wing, 2 on the elevators, and 1 on the rudder. hitec 7954 on throtle, jr 821 hv on choke.
JR 922 power safe receiver.
SWB 2 inch servo arms all around.
DA 120 on standard mufflers.
Smart-fly regulated opto kill.
Mejzlik 27x12TH

I will be running thunder power lipo batteries. I will choose the size later on when I am doing the CG.

couldn't you get any more elevator throw than that?! (very, very sarcastic!)

Looks good so far!

I began hinging the rudder, i did the stab side 30 minutes ago.

to keep glue from getting in the hinges i used an oil called slippery balls, it is usually used on bearings.

hinged the ruder side. It is now permanently attached with bvm v-poxy.

I was able to achieve the proper gap to get full deflection by taping a playing card in the hingeline. To get the 70 degrees i got on the elevators i needed 5 cards.

Began hinging the wings using the same card "trick" to maintain an even hinge gap.
