Cool High power charger on the cheap.

I have been back into the hobby about 2 years. Flying 3s packs of 450mah, 1300mah and 2200 mostly. I have just been using a little Imax B6AC. Just a 50w, 5a charger. I fly at home so it really is not a big deal. Charge and fly, repeat. I decided I should upgrade my charger with my recent...

    Hopper and Gonzo's snowday

We got out to during the incoming snow storm yesterday afternoon. It was the maiden flight of shopper's new West Michigan parflyers Mcfoamy. 10 MPH wind and pretty heavy snow. It was a good time with lots of laughs. We stayed out for about 30 min. BRRRRRR!

    Ice Storm in Michigan

I was planning on working all weekend. It was raining and pretty bad out last night. Interesting morning here. Ice storm! Trees snapping and no power. Shop is closed. Hope the power comes on soon as it is kinda cold! Not a big deal just a little boring as it limits what we can do. Have...

    Discussion Choosing an air frame----frustrations!

I have been looking into doing a 60" electric or 30cc size Gasser for a few weeks now. My rc budget has been weak lately and I finally saved up for an air frame. I am so surprised by how fast air frame sell out or just have not been available for months. It is winter in Michigan and i am in...

Rant! My old fav bit the dust.

I have been flying the WM epp/balsa edge 540 since spring. I was not a fan at first. I bought it for my 10 y/o son for christmas. But did not really take a shine to it. I built it up with a torque 20T/1030 57g motor 30a esc, Solar Servo D220 Digital servos. 1300 mah gens ace 3s packs. It...

limited landing area. How big can I get away with?

Alright, my first post and an odd question. I have been flying my foam 3dhs yak 54 here (48"). No problems. I have unlimited air space but a bit of a restricted landing area. I have a great aproach over 2 ponds. The actual area to touch down is short. I am sure I could do a balsa 48"...
