    Hey Giant Scalers!

Well, I am too far along on this one to start a build thread, and I didn't take pics up to now. However, once I am ready to cover it with Stits Lite, I'll do a special on using that process - if there is interest. Stits lite is THE WAY to go on scale birds which had any fabric covering. Once I...

    Hey Giant Scalers!

One of the things I've noticed is that the majority of Guys here are focused on the 3D Giant planes. Myself, I am more of the Giant "Scale" aircraft, like the Ziroli F6F Hellcat I built from plans, and the Hostetler Cessna L-19 Bird Dog from plans which will be next "scale" project. Currently I...

    Getting Kids involved in RC?

He'll get there is Dad allows him to have fun, and doesn't ram it down his throat. How many guys show up to the field and get a single flight in, and then sit around yacking all day! We call them the spectator/members. They are just little boys who ... Ew! Shiney....

    Getting Kids involved in RC?

This is me, my Son and my Grandson - 3 generations of RC Pilots! ALSO... take him to a Swap Meet and let him see all the COOL stuff, and pick out a beater of his own. Make a day of it, and Dad is then KING in his eyes.

    Getting Kids involved in RC?

Let him invite a friend over to assemble a plane of their own, and then take them to the field. My Grandson (5) has just finished "our" Northstar kit and is anxious to see it take off from the snow. ( yeah, yeah... He didn't do much help, but in his mind HE was the builder!) His interest is in...

Members, If You Want to Help Out - Sponsor GSN!!

Joined the GSN group the other day, and sent my sponsorship yesterday. I hope everyone considers it. Really hope all the forum posts stay civil and helpful. I am so tired of the bad manners and attitude on other sites. So far I am very pleased with what I've seen! Keep up the great site fellas

    Hey Giant Scalers!

Thanks for all the nice greetings. I look forward to making this my favorite "go to" site. I'll do my best to add to the knowledge base as much as I also glean from it. I've learned a few things in 40+ years of building.

    Fuel Tank plumbing question

Daytonarc, I think what you said makes perfect sense. In a perfect calculation, the tanks would feed equally, but then, we all know what is expected in calculations rarely comes out in real life. Glad I put this to the Gang for advice. I am going to look for the simple approach - with less...

    Fuel Tank plumbing question

Yeah that will work also. I happen to have two 32oz tanks. The weight is not an issue, we're talking a couple ounces of that in difference. I will look into a single tank - it's funny how we get our mind set on one thing and overlook the simple! Duh! Lol

    Fuel Tank plumbing question

That would be "in series" fueling. Are we saying THAT would be better than parallel? hmmmm.

    Fuel Tank plumbing question

Yeah, I'm building a large "cargo hauler" and want lots of on station time due to video and other missions. Super Flying King from Bruce Tharpe.

    Fuel Tank plumbing question

Hello Gas Guys, I am putting 2 32oz tanks in my current project, and obviously I want them in parallel. What is the best way to go? There is also a Dubro Fuel Filler being planned. Common thought is to just plumb one tank into the other, then draw from one "master" tank. But I am considering a...
