3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

@ AKfreak. Thanks for your advice. I know what you mean about costs. I will keep a look out for your plane. NJSwede. You must do well at selling the software systems. Only slightly obvious that you sell!! I'll search the net and research the info you have given me. I have a lot to do...

3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

You must all be working in sales!! :) I'm sold; though I did do a bit of a sucking air through my teeth when I saw the price of the Cortex. I guess it's all that magic they stuff into that tiny box. :) Anyway I'll look at them and also the planes and manufacturers you suggest AKfreak. Now I...

3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

NJSweed, I've looked at the Visionaire and agree that this is a possibility for me but my radio is a Futaba so will not work with the Visionaire as it stands. I don't know enough about radio systems to know that if I swap the Spectrum rx with a Futaba one it'll work as advertised. AKfreak, I...

3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

Thank you all for your advice. I don't have access to indoor venues but early or later in a park may be an option. Skill, mass and motor power are what I also believe to be the basic requirements for wind with any aircraft. As I don't have the skill yet I may get a cheaper balsa model and fly it...

3D foamy for up to 15 mph winds!

I am new to 3D and am really excited by the prospect of flying it well. I want the PA Katana MX but fear I may destroy it in the first few flights. In other threads I have posted in, and received advice, it is suggested that I go for a foamy first and progress from there. I have decided to take...

Thank you. That should help. Incidentally now I'm on my 'puter and looked through the RF7 directory. There is an instruction manual, all 380ish pages. Thanks again.

abaser. Thanks. I'll give that a go and maybe 'play' with the settings. There don't seem to be any how to instructions regarding set up with RF7.

Waiting for the fog to lift! It was a clear day at home when I left. Arrived at my flying site and shrouded in fog. Can't see more than 100 feet. The fog horns in the Dover Strait have stopped so must be clearing tho not up here at 300 feet. :( Yet. :)

3DeltaFly. I have RF7 and wasn't really impressed with the models there for 3D flying. I've subscribed to this site and have found nothing but helpful, generous people. I downloaded your Extra 300 and WOW!!! Just what I need. Thank you for this. I'm looking at getting the PA AddictionX or the...

I believe I said that it might be my last post in the intro forum!!! Here are some pics of my Acrowot and our flying field. My Acrowot. Looking from the pits area. I have marked (badly) the area of our circular runway. The 2 iconic radio masts on the white cliffs of Dover...

I think this will be my last post on this thread!! I'll take some photos of where I fly and my Ripmax Acrowot. I also have the J!ve a funfly type thingy that I need to maiden. There won't be much to see of the 'runway' as its only a 60 feet diameter circle of mown field.

dth7. The club I belong to is http://bloobirds.org.uk/. I believe that I have seen the Mike Wargo Addiction x videos - impressive. I have noticed Wamsy videos but at a late time before bed. I'll have a look for him and the others you mention later. We are not as web technologically able at our...

dth7 - I am a great believer in paying forward. At the moment I feel that I can only pay forward to real beginners, but in time as I gain knowledge and experience I'll be able to pay my dues so to speak. I'd like to see more youngsters in the sport. At the club I fly at we are pretty much all...

    New Here? Introduce yourself!

Hi I'm Yoda aka Mike. I'm just getting back into this awesome sport after a 'few' years absence! I am from across the Pond in the UK. My, how things have changed. I am a nitro / balsa guy and really resisting this new-fangled 'leccy' stuff but feel that with the aircraft I want next I'll have to...
