I have made some progress on my plane. I have the fin and rubdder cut out and hinged along with the elevators. I have the other wing ready to vacuum bag and I will get it done this weekend. That will probably be about all I can get done until next week. We had a EF4 tornado rip threw the town I...

One wing sheeted and the leading and trailing edges glued on. If you build one of these make sure you have a few rolls of masking tape. I think I have used more masking tape on the plane than I have in my entire lifetime.

I hope you get to maiden it next week, I'm looking forward to the flight report and I want to see the the plane all finished. Once you build that sanding table you will want to build more planes. LOL, it does make the sanding a whole lot better, I can't hardly take breathing that dust anymore...

Thanks Rick, I'm going to try my table saw first and see if I can use it before using my bandsaw. How are you coming on the smaller slick?

Thanks for the idea, I didn't think about using my razor saw. I do have an older Delta table saw that I'm going to try and use when I buy a feather board.

That is how I'm going to do it on the rest of mine. It is way to much sanding without be eking them first.

Okay I'm going to get a feather board for my table saw and cut these bevels on it. I hand sanded the bevel on one elevator and I"m so happy I built the sanding table because this was a lot of sanding. It turned out pretty good sanding a bevel this size. What I did is run a line down the center...
