    Su-26M Knife Edge

I have my knife edge mix on a switch—the "On" switch! I agree with leaving it on. It takes the bad tendencies out of the rudder and will make your rollers, knife edges, and turns more true.

I don't know if you've ever watched Buttface fly, but he rolls slower than anyone. He doesn't peg the aileron all the way when he rolls. He's always jockeying the stick to keep the roll rate constant. You can see it in his videos but I watched him fly in person and he's really active with that...

    Wing rock

Basically the effect you are looking for is to keep the air from slipping off the wing tips. The SFGs act as a stall fence and trap the air on top of the wing. It effectively raises your stall angle and will calm the wing rock down at high alpha. I have found though that sometimes SFGs can make...

    Wing rock

I don't like the spoiler on method as you have to turn it off to go inverted or fly normally. The better thing to do is either get the wing fully stalled or attached. Maybe try SFGs or vortex generators.

    Planebender Products "Fall Sale"!

I was able to put it back together but it'll fly better now that it's a little uglier. Fun little plane, but it's a little sketchy trying to 3D it.

Speak up and win!! We're turning ONE, time to celebrate!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON 1 YEAR! My favorite thing about this site is how helpful everyone is without resorting to bashing or other nonsense. My least favorite thing is the mobile site! We have these smart phones that can handle the full web! Why not use it? Suggestion for improvement: more...

    Painting molded plastic canopy decks

I'm planning on doing a new scheme on my Yak 54, and I know what to do with the covering and even painting the cowl, but the part that concerns me is painting the canopy. It slides forward under the cowl, and I don't want the paint to become visibly damaged in that process. It's one of the 48"...

    PAU Owners Thread

Thanks for the info guys! I guess it's worth putting a bigger engine in for balance and power: I'm still flying 60cc right now, and by all accounts 120 cc is where it's at as far as performance.

    PAU Owners Thread

What made you or Gaby choose the DA-85? Is it for balance and weight? I noticed that both videos on the PAU site showed the DA-85 rather than the 120 (you can see the single head in that Wenatchee video). It doesn't look like it's hurting for power at all even with the 85, but I imagine it's...

    PAU Owners Thread

I haven't seen too much information on the newer Ultimate. Who has one? How does it fly? Can it 3D well? Can it keep up with the monoplanes if you try? I really want to get into the 100 cc class and the slightly shorter fuse and compact wings fit my storage needs better than a 100-120cc...

    3D 3DHS/Extreme Flight Family - 91" Yak 55 - Black

Are you going to be running canisters on the DA 70? The pipe tunnel is a little small to fit my tuned pipe without some modifications. I ended up making more plywood plates for the bottom and cutting out the covering in the belly of the plane for access.

    3DHS and Extreme Flight Merger?

Hopefully they will offer sections of covering for repairs. If they do, repairs will be an absolute no brainer. Just cut out a square, line it up, and iron it down.

    3DHS and Extreme Flight Merger?

I have planes from both companies, and I absolutely love both. Extreme Flight has the market cornered on small electric 3D airplanes, but that's not to say their giant scale planes aren't great too. I'm just saying 3DHS has no new small ARFs, and have a fairly wide variety of giant scale planes...
