    Yippee! What the postman brought

Yeah got kinda tired of the forums in general with all the negativity and arm-chair advisers hiding behind a user name. Just happened to pop in hear the other day from a link. Hope all is well with you as well :way_to_go:

    Yippee! What the postman brought

LOL, that is all on your uneducated servo comment. Catching up with this I'll agree that Jeti is cool with technology but the setup is a disaster and the radios fell amazingly awkward. If they came out with a non-tray-based radio and re-arranged their programming or set up a PC...

    Yippee! What the postman brought

I think BB re-designed their servos because the other ones were a complete dumpster fire of issues. Also keep in mind that BB servos under load draw enough amps that under aggressive flying you'll start to get blow back because the batteries can't keep up and can easily exceed the limits of...

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

The Viper ST "KIT" version was designed for the DA100 and DLE100 / 120. The DA will not fit the cowl and the smaller wing span and lightness of the air frame make it very torquey when you start running DA120 props like the 28x10 and 29x9W It causes ill effects on flight performance...

    Covering Contest/Pilot 40% 122" Extra 330SC

That is a very challenging scheme, since the plane is actually an MXS I designed an MXS with that scheme. 125.5", ZDZ180 this was about a month after maiden, Colton Clark at the sticks:

The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

It never really had anything to do with the viper could not handle "the power of the DA120". The DA is strong but the DLE120 is basically equal other than less vibes and a very few RPM less. Also the DA120 has straight plugs so they would stick out since the I did not make the cowl to...

    KCS 62cc Gas Engine.

How much flight time do you have on it?

    KCS 62cc Gas Engine.

I think the issues with KCS are well documented. Overheating, tun-ability, piston scoring / lockup etc. Better off with DLE, RCGF or EME for a budget engine otherwise just buy DA and have an engine that lasts for many airframes.

    KCS 62cc Gas Engine.

My advise on the KCS engine is to RUN don't walk to anyplace and buy almost any other RC engine sold. KCS is a complete and total POS. I've never said that about another RC engine ever. Even my old SV50 twin which I previously called a POS still runs even though the crank pulls...

    GSN GIVE-A-WAY Hangar 9 35% Extra 300X Assembly

Some dude on here starting an engine tuning thread way back, it's a good process and works if you follow it. As you said, ALWAYS tune a hot engine and set your low and high idle after a flight. http://giantscalenews.com/threads/basic-engine-tuning.2806/

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

I started a new program on my transmitter for this plane . I use a "base program" on my transmitter that has all my typical mixes, switches, rates, etc. etc. etc. all set up for me. I have several of these "base" programs set up on my transmitter for various plane types. I highly...

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

Next I prepared all my radio equipment and servos, wires, etc. I installed all of the control surface horns at the same time. Using a fresh exacto blade I opened the servo bays and all control horn locations for the wings, stabs and rudder. I sorted the horns and installed the correct...

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

Finally getting a start on this bad boy. I laid out all the hardware to keep things organized. Landing gear is pretty straight forward. Make sure the rake of the gear and the fat side of the airfoil is forward. Install the gear with the filler plate. There are some...

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

I've been having fantastic luck with them. Probably the most bang for your buck is the 777 / 777A+ and the 1250 for throttle on anything up to 35% and wings on 40%

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

Box of goodies from MKS (for a couple projects). I'll be using 4 of these 777A+ in the wings of this ARS. Smaller, lighter and stronger than the old MKS: http://www.mksservosusa.com/home.php?cat=3

    Assembly: AJ Aircraft ARS300 104" 120cc!

I know anything 30cc and large is already hinged and gap sealed on all the AJ planes. I don't know about the smaller stuff. The 50cc ARS is absolutely hinged etc.
