    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

I rarely use them.. Getting lazy in my old age I guess.

    Assembly: EF 110" Yak-54 V2

Subscribed... Always enjoy your builds, and video Joe. Glad you're back. On mine, the area where the screws go in seemed soft for my tastes. I ended up putting little doubler plates behind each one to give more meat to screw in to. I also use the #3 "Servo mounting screws" from RTL instead of...

    Basic engine tuning.

I plan to try an EFI 120 at some point in the next 12 or so months. I'm anxiously awaiting the inevitable price drop, and the ability to send an existing engine in for the upgrade. I want to compare, in my own airframes, the new technology with the old.

    Basic engine tuning.

I have this EXACT same thing going on. As long as I let my engines cool before restarting or, fuel and start immediately, they crank up fine. If they sit a few minutes after a flight I can forget them starting again until they cool off. In my totally uneducated opinion, if they sit too long...

    Curious. Ethanol or not

I have a convenient place to buy non, so that's what I run. It's been my experience "something" in the pump gas was causing my Tygon clunk line to harden prematurely, and I tend to blame that on the ethanol. I've since changed all internal fuel lines to Viton, but intend to continue using the...

Older 3W and DA for First 40%er

I understand that this is on occasion possible. I looked into it a few weeks ago when I was needing a 120 for my new 110, but the price was only about $125.00 less that I could get in a "combo" deal from Extreme Flight. I opted to just get a new one from EF.

Older 3W and DA for First 40%er

You have absolutely no worries with used DA engines. My SOP when selling them, is to send them in to DA for a check-up. If they need anything I pay for it. The engine then goes directly from DA to the new owner. This is also what I would require of anyone, other than someone I knew very well...

    Awesome Video Thread

This is an oldie but goody. This piqued my interest in GS flying many years ago, and I still love the video, the music and the commentary. When I hit the lottery, I'm going to hire Bill Hempel to come hang out with me and my friends for a weekend... ;-)

3D When is a plane used up?

It's got a few more flights left. I'll have to get my nerve up.. Hinging doesn't bother me, it's the covering.

3D When is a plane used up?

I wish I had your skills Terry. I have an elderly 91" EF Extra that would be a great prospect for a "strip/rehinge/recover."

    WHAT DO YOU WANT??

A way for the OP of a thread to weed out trollers when they're getting out of hand. If a person wants to start a brand specific chat, off brand postings, snide remarks etcetera get old, and would be nice to be able to get off the thread.
