    I had heard it from a friend that frequents FG a few weeks ago. I don't get to come on her often anymore because most of my forum time is at work and GSN is the only forum blocked at my job. I love this site and am glad to hear the rumors are false.

    +1 on BB's setup. I run exactly the same setup on an 88" Edge. One soft switch to run the whole plane, no switches to fail or worry about. Between the battery types you mentioned I lean toward A123 as my favorite and Lipo second. I'm not as keen on the Life packs and I have gotten rid of all...

    I'm running gas on mine so I really can't relate to the electric setup. But on mine with a GT33/stock muffler on the front and pull pull rudder, I have two 1100 A123 packs mounted horizontally on the end of the pipe tunnel and it flies neutral.

    I see me and crew posted at about the same time. I have 150 trouble fee flights on my 74 so I'm not going to change anything. And like he said, they are plenty fast on 6V.

    Just curious, Savox only lists the 1258 & 1256 at 6V. Are they safe on HV? I'm only asking because I'm running the 1258'1258's in my Edge as well, but I've been running them on A123's. I like the A123's but it would be nice to know I could get more torque if needed.

    That is a nice setup, I like the Smartfly stuff. I am really liking the simplicity of my Powersafe setup though. I am using the soft switch to kill Rx power and the Tech Aero IBEC to kill ignition. There is only one switch on the plane and it is the soft switch that fails "on". I have left...

    Sorry I haven't responded. I've been really busy lately and didn't see your post notification. That sucks about the loss of your plane, I'll keep a close eye on mine before and after every use and if I notice any loosening of the connection I'll stop using it.

    Was the one you had fail a deans or APP connector? I'm just asking because on my APP plug, it is a positive lock when plugged in with a noticable snap when fully engaged, it's not difficult to pull out but definitly requires effort. I put 50+ flights on it this summer with no issues.
