    Boost Tabs

Modern 1000oz/in+ servos don't have problems with 3D control surfaces even on 120" sized airplanes. As for current draw, we now have 12v style servos that see a big reduction in current draw which means good quality 22awg wiring can be used. These models don't need boost tabs, just good...

Got the new 92" AJ Slick on the bench the last handful of nights. Engine was test ran last night but it needs a carb rebuild, and probably some new reeds. Need to baffle the cowl and cut out the hot air vents but otherwise she's just about ready to rip :banana-dance:

Yep our weather is beginning to cool down here too. It only got up to 87F yesterday! Over the weekend the local news stopped by our club to do a bit, I was hand selected to be the dancing monkey to really show off what we can do

Totally a shameless plug but there's a new wingtip light system about to hit the market. Preorders are already open for the KBar Lighting System's MiniRails which fit 48" - 73" models. Made In USA design, flies on a single 1s 150mAh LiPo with 12 minutes of run time, and weighs a scant 24g ea...

Anyone mess with rockets? I've been playing with making this Estes Mega Der Red Max into an L1 cert rocket. From factory it comes with 1/8" ply fins that you're supposed to laminate balsa over to achieve a total of 1/4" of thickness, and it comes with 1/8" ply motor rings inside. They have it...

When the weather is good (330+ days a year here) we go play. Besides, we don't have AC garages so they're just as warm as outside. Fun fact, all of the DA engine development has taken place at the club I fly at. They run great, even when it's 115F outside. Also fun fact, we don't have...

Well, here in Arizona, you either fly in the heat or you don't fly at all. It's not so bad during Monsoon season when the sun is blocked out by thick clouds in the afternoon. Normally, Monsoon rains come and wash over us for 10-20min then the air is nice and cool and makes for perfect flying...
