HELP ix12 mixing

The Treetop Flyer

New to GSN!
I have a ix12 and 12 ch power safe rx. I can't for the life of me figure out how to do a mix.
What I'm trying to do is have it where my flaps and ailerons work as one. To have a full wing length aileron at the flick of a switch, so to speak.
Also to have crow flap as well.
I have attached a picture of the monitor screen. And I can email you the ispm file to edit.
Thanks in advance,
Gary

I believe the programming logic should be similar to the DX9 so I can tell you how I did crow, but will need to study the approach to flaperon mixing.
Would you please let me know the number of servos you’re using on the wing. I assume 4 servos - 1 for each aileron and 1 for each flap.

I found an approach which seems to work, but will need a bit more refinement to make it work the way you would like.

The DX9 may be programmed to use up to 5 Flight Modes - not sure about the iX12.
Normally I use Flight Modes as a way to control dual rates and expo.
However, Flight Modes may also be used to trigger the Flap System.
Similarly, Flight Modes may be used to trigger a mix.
In summary I used the Aircraft Type as 2 Aileron, 2 Flaps, and Dual Elevator Tail, together with one mix and the Flap System.
The mix is Aileron to Flap; Rate: 100%, 100%; Offset: 0%; Trim: Inh; Switch: Flight Mode 1, 2, 3
My test used all 5 flight modes as follows:
  • Flight Mode 1 - 25% aileron deflection, 15% expo, full span ailerons
  • Flight Mode 2 - 50% aileron deflection, 30% expo, full span ailerons
  • Flight Mode 3 - 100% aileron deflection, 60% expo, full span ailerons
  • Flight Mode 4 - High rates for ailerons, Flaps down 1/3
  • Flight Mode 5 - High rates for ailerons, Flaps down Full
Finally, one of the flight modes could be used for Crow, where two additional mixes would be required - one for throttle to aileron and the second for throttle to flap.

Hopefully this helps. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.

Yes sit I'm using 4 servos in the wing
