I was kind of thinking that too Doug. But then, I am always open to new ideas and suggestions. I try to take care of my stuff but sometimes new information can be useful.

So, not here yet... but the 170 cs should be here Monday or Tuesday. Oh my gosh I can hardly wait. It has been so long since a new Red Head came to live with me. I also ordered a new clear fuel tank, shinny new 5" spinner and fuel dot for Marie. Oh and a new beach wood prop for the little Blue Nose "Stang". I can't wait till the post man shows up this next couple of weeks. Each day I will be like, I wonder what is at my front door today? LOL

Is it Monday/Tuesday yet?

Well has it arrived we are all waiting to see it no pictures then it has not arrived.

Got my new USA Trains Boxcar yesterday



These are evidently made in the USA, says so right on the bottom of the car. Comparing it to my German cars from Piko, the quality of the trucks and couplers seems to be lower, looks much more like it was made from remelted plastic (lots of microbubbles). However the detail level is much greater, and there is an option to switch from the cheaper plastic wheels to metal wheels. The Piko equipment I can also source locally as their USA distribution center is in San Diego, so it's a toss up right now on which brand I like more... I only have limited experience with Piko, will have to branch out and buy more USAT I guess, most seem happy with their quality.

Interestingly enough it has been raining cats and dogs here since this morning. So wet in fact, we got off work early. Which means... I literally am sitting at the front door waiting for that gorgeous red head to show up. I sure hope she dont change her mind and go stay with some other stick jockey.

That would make me very sad.

Seriously though, tracking numbers show it out for delivery.
