I ordered a fuel tank and lines from him the other day. One of my favorite places!

I just got my prop and spinner from NW Tim... I am really liking these predrilled props!
Tim is about the most top shelf credit to this hobby I have seen in many "MANY" years. I would give my business to him even if he weren't such a great friend. Being a friend just makes it that much more appreciated. Know what I mean fellas?

Soon the post man to bring me this cool little HD1080P video camera with wide angle lens. Yep.....it's going to get mounted to my Avanti's underside for some cool in the air action vids. I will also be following the action on the ground with a 4K UHD video camera.
So NO MORE crappy pics and vids from me :D. Picture Quality wise that is .

LoL.....Figured that bro! :yesss:. I scored a sweet deal on ebay. Both for less than 150 to door. The small one coming from China (37.00) and the 4K from USA (112.00). The 4K is a display unit from a photo shop and has no box or boom mike but is new and unused (so they say). These normally go for about 180 to door.....

I have a question for the group. Have any of you seen or used the plane restraints that Sullivan makes? The model number is S848. I am looking to buy them to hold my H9 260. The Sullivan ad at Chief Aircraft says they are even good for very large planes.

They look pretty nice, but I would have a hard time trusting that little spike that holds it down. Maybe the geometry is such that it's okay, but it looks short to me. Many years ago I saw an old Sachs 3.2 pull a screwdriver bigger than that spike right out of the ground.

These work awesome if your club will let you do it. It's just pipes driven in the ground that you insert padded conduit into. They'll hold most anything. We have several sets of them at our field. We have to replace the pool noodle pads about once a year (usually by me) because the padded parts are stored outside in racks on the fence line. I have my own set I take to the field.

HeyDoug,

I hear what you're saying. The spike looks a little short to me too, but I went ahead and just ordered one. I will only use it to hold the plane while I start it. I will stand in front of the stab when I run the engine up to clear it out. Thanks Buddy. . . . . . . . :way_to_go:.

It's past my bed time. Good night everyone. . . . :sleepy:
