They are slightly, but I've seen much worse. He's only got $1200 in the whole thing, and while it's old and outdated by today's standards, and the airframe is well used, it's still a bargain for a complete 40% airplane.

I jacked up my hip once tossing a larger DLG. Took a couple weeks to get over that one.If I tried to launch one of those my shoulder would never forgive me.

Not as hard as it looks or hard on your shoulder if you prepare. I went out one day and threw mine and the next day could barely move my right arm. Now before I make my first toss I do about 2-3 minutes of stretching and Then I can throw for a couple hours without any problems.
Edit: might I mention that since I started flying my dlgs and learning to thermal and what not I have barely touched any of my other planes. It’s become an addiction.

I was informed yesterday that one of these was on the way to my shop to modify the paint scheme.
My flying buddy Tony has been wanting one and pulled the trigger on it yesterday. It's a Krill 39% 120cc Ultimate 300KS. He wanted to order a custom paint scheme, but wouldn't get it till next summer, so he bought what was in stock and we'll modify it.
I would imagine at bare minimum we'll change the baby blue to a somewhat darker metallic blue.
Anyone have any pictures of cool Ultimates?

They were demoing that plane at JoeNall. I like. It is a nice plane and flew like on rails but one thing that surprised me was how fast the plane was. Just a beautiful plane would love to have one. The only thing I have heard about the plane was that the aileron servos are difficult to install and you had better get the right ones.

Have several Pitts schemes but unfortunately nothing Ultimate.

Yeah I can tell you the aileron servos will not be two sided taped in as they tell you to do. It probably works fine, but it would bother me for sure. We'll come up with some kind of mount. I know they have some trick ones for gliders and jets.
