I would have a set of these servos in my Hangar 9 Extra 300X, but he was out at the time, and I was in a hurry. I've heard a lot of good things about them.

have a look on the assembled servo picture , it shows 6 cover screws , which is great but look at the other picture , the screws go nowhere

@jbeech what is the reasoning behind what appears to be ghost screws that go into the top of the case? Maybe clear up some speculation. This is an older thread, but still has me curious thanks. Been liking your servos so far, not a whole lot of time on them yet.

That model doesn’t appear to be available anymore but I do note that the cover in the photos in the thread also do not include the brass fittings in the gear axle pockets. Maybe it wasn’t finished? The current offerings all clearly show six sets of threaded holes in the case and holes in the covers. Have some of his sub-micro servos that I am going to use in my cadence pattern plane under construction.

Forgues-Research . . . while the photos seem to speak for themselves, please note 'I' didn't make the original post. Unfortunately, you have conflated photos of 2 different products - and made public - a despicable accusation of fraud on my part. Worse, this being the Internet, your insinuation remains public forever, and thusly, are casting an indelible stain upon my character and undeserved shame upon my product.

The facts are; the S74245BLHV was produced with 4-screws instead of 6-screws. It's shown alongside photos of another product, the S74420BLHV, and then mistakenly represented as being the same product. While this was obviously innocent on the part of the OP, you are not innocent in your subsequent post. Why not?
  • Each photo is named, e.g. PDRS74245BLHV-disassembled2.jpg making clear the specific servo being depicted.
  • Your accusations are made 5-years after that particular product ceased production!
  • You made zero effort to reach out to us before making your loathsome allegation.
Bottom line? There was no ghost screw . . . and you, sir, at the very least owe me a sincere apology.

Thanks for the info John.
No reason to get carried away in the forums were we discuss lots of things like this.
I’ve purchased several servos from you, I’ve requested specs from you as well in which you’ve provided quickly. Whilst we get information and compare servos online, most of us are not used to products not produced overrseas and can’t get this type of information quickly when asked.
I don’t think an apology is needed from our buddy @Forgues-Research or from you @jbeech we appreciate the detailed response. I’ll add that there were discrepancies with specs online, where when looking at one servo, you’d see another servos specs. I know the intent isn’t to fool anyone, but fooled we were by accident. Water off a ducks back guys, let’s edit our posts to show our questions and friendly discussions... it’s wrong to interpret emotion online over words - accusations and accusations at accusations are not welcome as far as I’m concerned.

Thanks for making good products John, I hope conversations in the future from all of us don’t accidentally show disrespect. Please know I was not trying to throw a fellow under the bus just looking for an answer I knew you had with a professional response. We can all learn something from each other

Though I don't have the time these days to visit my home away from home as much as I used to, I find it a little disheartening to finally find a minute to come on here and do a little catch up reading and then to see such ill feelings and animosity tossed from one individual to another in a public setting such as this. This reminds me of certain circumstances in which an employer royally rakes an employee over the proverbial hot coals in front of an entire work force. How humiliating and degrading this is. Completely disrespectful in my opinion. Whether that individual had it coming or deserved it or not, it is just wrong. This is "NOT" a place to air one's dirty laundry. I do not intend or attempt to minimize the confrontational issue at hand. Nor am I attempting to sweep possible legitimate claims under the rug. Your allegations may very well be true and just. Or, they may not. I left a particular other site for this exact reason. NO RESPECT, NO DECENCY. Though I do use other sites for marketing purposes, I refuse to subject myself to rude and disrespectful people who can not make it a practice to deal with an issue with someone on a one to one, face to face basis. Giant Scale News was founded with the ideals and morals of respect and courtesy to one another. If we as a group should disagree, we have always been respectful enough to not involve the entire membership of this site.

I will step down from my soap box now. Please be respectful to everyone here and take this disagreement to the source and address it on a man to man basis.
