Damn I'm hungry
Earlier today I got two string trimmers running quite nicely with new carbs, plugs, gaskets, air filters and plumbing. One was a Tanaka 220 and the other a Sthil 226. The third (waiting my attention) is an Echo 225. Amazing I found all three rebuild kits for less than 12 bucks each.
Need to hurry up and get the Echo done so I can change out a perfectly awesome running engine on my plane o_O.....

Tanaka 220, Sthil 226, Echo 225? Sooo... these are 4 bangers, right? How do they compare to the 3w220, DLE222 and DA 200? What size prop will they turn?

Echo 225 is a great trimmer. I bought one seven years ago and it has ran like a champ. I put stabil in all my fuel and at the end of the season I don’t even run the trimmer empty. I just hang on the wall and wait till the next season. Even after sitting it’s just like every other start. Prime the carb, turn switch on, choke on, third pull it fires right up, let it warm up for about 30 seconds then go reek havoc on the weeds.
