Scale 50% Dalotel 165

Nothing much to show at this time, been preparing both the laser for the flying season, and waiting to be a bit warmer to paint the the id numbers etc.

Here I am calculating the cg of the laser with 3 digital scales, although the cg is done , I want to see if I am doing it right with the scales, in preparation for the Dalotel which should be very soon

not many photos of the Dalotel, but I assure you I am getting it ready for first flight, , all going according to plan, in the meantime I have worked hard also on giving me as much radio safety as I possibly can, using two different frequencies as you can see on the transmitter set up. 2.4 ghz and 900 mhz with both frequency receivers, and the 900 mhz is good for 10 km, of course not needed the distance but better connection.
You will also notice the exterior battery on the transmitter tray, this is for the 900 mhz module in the back of the transmitter.

Of course it is possible, but here is how , FrSky operates on 2.4 ghz , They have also developed the R9M module for the back of the transmitter which is 900 mgz. , within the transmitter is where we program to use both internal and external module.
Both receivers 2.4 and 900 feed into the redundancy bus system. The redundancy bus decides which receiver to use at all time. But only one receiver can be used for telemetry which is the 2.4

Ok... that makes perfect sense. Is there a reason, (other than cost) that other radio manufacturers don't simply make this industry standard?
 
I assume this is similar to the Jeti systems where the 900Mhz system acts as a backup to the 2.4Ghz in the event of a2.4Ghz tconnection failure. Is the correct Roger?
The way this system actually works, is similar but you they both are online at all times, here I use the 2.4 for telemetry and 900 non telemetry.
