Scale BullDog II build

I have been told that when one receives anything related to a build, the build has started. I just received the engine for the BullDog II, a Valach 140cc twin, so I guess the build has started. But it will be slow especially considering the short kit has not even been cut yet. But the kit should be cut any day as we finished with the desining yesterday and Andreas has nested the files for the cutter.
These engines are works of art within themselves.

Ok I am in for the ride. Love that engine and it is a four stroke, even better. Ok needs to be mounted and run so that we can hear it.
Do you do the drawings for your planes.

I can not do CAD, tried but my brain just don't work that way. Andreas of Blazing Wings has been doing the drawing, I send him some pics, tell him what I want, and then back and forth with drawings until it is the way I want it. He has been fantastic through this year long process. It is amazing how much detail has to go in to creating an airframe. Not to mention actually making it scale such as each wing's airfoil, number of ribs as well as placement, fuse former placement, etc. etc. and all the while keeping in mind weight.
Whilst typing this he informed me the nesting files went to the cutter yesterday. Woo Hoo!!

The engine will be broke-in mostly on the stand but will have to wait until after Top Gun and Joe Nall. This will be fun, whilst preparing for this build I will be finishing up the BullDog I, two table's seeing some action. Yes!!!!

I will also be using a few things I have never used before with this one, an SBUS Rx and two Xtreme Power X10+ channel expanders. I don't know for sure until into the build whether one servo per aileron will do or will it take two. Along with the other components such as smoke and telemetry I could run out of channels real quick on my typical 12 channel Rx. We'll see.

One thing I have learnt in past couple of years is that with high powered servos and digital on top that it makes sharing the load quite difficult. The best system if have used is the Booma controller it is fantastic. Doing it by radio is time consuming and you never get it just right. All my planes in the future will have split ailerons even if it is not scale. I found this out by battery consumption per flight.

Forgot to ask when you say Bulldog 2 is you second bulldog same plane just better.
No, they were two different planes that Jim flew. The 2 was a bit different both in airframe and in scheme. Look at the difference in the tail feathers and aileron's width, pic one is the previous version, pic two was the last version.
