I have a Da and it is not bad but I have 3W I don’t care hoe tunes it spits fuel all the lime and quite a bit, ever since then I hav always done something about it. I was just wondering with the ZDZ engines it has rotary plate as an intake control, now that setup does not spit fuel back.
I have never had one spit back, must be ultra lucky. I can see where it could though.

How do you stop fuel from spitting and dripping in to the fuselage when choking and staring.
I don't do anything, it just does not do it. I PM all my planes every June and January and have yet to see any. The only thing I may do different than some is use full throttle when choking.

I must admit that most of my engine's are up-draft. A number of years back I was doing my numerous choked flips and a fella told me full throttle would require less flips to get the pop. Since I went to it no engine I have needs more than three flips with choke and two after.

I will have to cut a hole beneath the carb to let fuel drip out into the open. Carburetors will always spit some fuel after choking, regardless of engine brand, or tune.

Nothing major last night, just glued control horns to the stabs and cut out the servo pockets. Using my iron set to 600F I was able to quickly melt through the covering relatively cleanly. I also opened up all of the slots for the 2 vent plates that bolt to the bottom of the fuselage using the same method.

I used these syringes to help inject the epoxy into the slots and spread it more evenly. They work great, and are cheap enough to where you can order a bunch and just toss after using them. I was able to mix up the epoxy inside of a plastic sandwich bag by squeezing 2 large pools of each part into the bag, then closing the bag and mixing the epoxy using the handle of my xacto blade. Snip off a small corner of the bag and pour the mixed epoxy into the syringe tube :)

The only mod I did to the syringe was slice off about 1/8" of the tip of it to open the curved tube up enough to let epoxy flow more freely.

That price sound grossly inflated, even for Canada. As much as I hate pushing people away from their local hobby shop, you may find it less expensive at another retailer.

Little more work on the Laser tonight. Chad Wilson at TDRC coming through with the goods as always!

Cut out the holes in the fuselage for everything, and ran the extensions to the tail.

I think what I will do is if Hitec is at JoeNall then see if I can get one. Thanks.
