Hey everyone..., I thought I would take a minute to give you all a brief update. Though I have no recent photos of the 330, I will go so far as to say I am still working on the scheme. Yes, it is still decided upon. I actually have a friend with a vinyl cutter with some pretty great software working on the accent colors and stripes. I had originally thought I would cut everything by hand, but really two things stop me. One..."TIME". I rarely have time to work on anything let alone try to cut covering into a scheme. LOL And two, I really don't want any crooked lines. The cost of my covering has jumped up to about $100.00. I really don't want to waste it. I will get some updated photos and progress posted soon. Hang in there.

Not much time the last few days to do anything on the 330. Let alone stop by to say hi. But...I did manage to get the rough draft of the scheme from my artist. She's so awesome. I like what she has done with an idea that simply and quite literally "popped" upon me Sunday at the field. I had originally decided that I had the scheme all laid out and ready to go. But something just wasn't hitting me like I wanted it to. So I put the brakes on until I could definitely decide. That is when it hit me. Anyway, my sons girlfriend is the one that has painstakingly been working feverishly on a scheme from my head. (What a nightmare for her that has been...LOL) But at long last, we have the one that HIT ME like a ton of bricks. At least one of you might recognize the layout. Though the colors will remain as I chose back a few months ago. (Apple Green, White, Black and Silver) The scheme is different, but I like it.

The top of the stabs/elevators will be a match for the top of the wings. I have been trying to do an engine swap on the SD Baby Yak. So as soon as it is complete, I will get to the scheme and covering that 330. Wow...she is still very naked. lOL

Remembering what my first Behemoth Yak looked like, the white should still look pretty nice. It gave it a very crisp look. I'm hoping for the same outcome with the 330.

Hoes covering are you using. I m in process of just a little covering job but is tower hobbies stuff not impressed. The paint seems to lose its lustre if rub ever so slightly on the covering with iron just had roll laying around so I thought I would use it. Still like Ultracote the best . Fortunately it is on the profile and it is not a master piece just a plane to help teach me to fly 3D.

I will be using ultrakote. I have had the option of doing others but I like ultracote the best and mostly because I know it and its capabilities and tolerances. As for paint, I will be using Wings West RC paint again like I did on the little Jtec Pitts. I want a perfect match to the covering. Even though it's a little bit more expensive, the pits came out really nice. And after a year of the paint being on there, there is no deviation from now and the time that I first painted it.
