View attachment 102478Ok got the fuselage on the workbench have start working on it. Just trying to make sure that I do the order of things correctly so that I do not work my self into a corner. But just know it somehow I will.

Since you got the fuse on the table now is the time to add some hard points for tuned pipe/canister mounts. Not only does the engine performance really perk up but the look of a pipe or can running down the bottom of a profile says "All Business" :big-grin:.

Thanks BalsaDust it is coming along. The fuselage is 1/16 wider than the mounting plate required for the motor trying to keep everything to a minimum. Just completed the elevators and stabs only needs final sanding and covering. The stabilizer and elevators came to 3.0 oz except covering, total for the two.

Have to agree it would look bad-ass. The only thing is I have a DA50 but it is in new plane ready for the summer and would like to leave the motor in the plane. Have been looking around a little but until it is closer to completion I am not sure what I am going to do. But once I get a feel for the weight I will know what I am going to do . My goal is to be at 14.5 lbs. if I am well below that then I will consider a header and canister

Lots of updates. Mojo 25 done and flown (quite a bit actually). It has a lot of coupling in knife edge. Also needed down and right thrust added to it. The SKF 3536 is way overpowered for this but is fun to fly. I think if I could get the wing loading down, it would help considerably. Fun none-the-less. Compared to the Mojo 65, there is no comparison, but hard to ask a lot of a 36” ws profile with a high wing loading.

Got the EF 60” landing gear support replaced. Good as new and went flying for lunch today. Glad to have knocked out another project.

The last pic is some work my son and I have accomplished tearing his 66 mustang apart.

Hellcat all hung up in my shop with the new face, going to hang it in my buddies LHS probably this week.

The TBM is coming together. Pretty much just down to electronics. A little disappointed that the recommended SV1250MG servos, I had to enlarge the servo bays, noticed they get close to the wingtube, and actually put a little dent in the plastic tube. When I enlarged the bay I went aft - away from the tube and they still bump into the tube a bit. Hmmm.... May flip the servo 180deg to get the wire away from the tube and make new linkages.

Got some MPX connectors from TDRC and made a ply insert. Looks pretty clean and am looking forward to the simplicity of just two connectors. Might do one black and one red to make it even simpler.

Now I’m just waiting on my new transmitter to show up... ordered it from my buddies LHS and GP decided to ship it parcel post..... for Alaska that is at least two weeks, so hopefully this week it will show up. Decided to get the Futaba 18SZ instead of the 16SZ because of the LiFe battery, and integrated charger, a little better ergonomics too. Plus I got a little price break thanks to my friend. Really excited to finally do a crow feature on an airplane and misc mixes. That will make flying the TBM a lot of extra fun! It’s been about 7 years since my last Tx upgrade! Super excited about having telemetry and a touch screen, hopefully it works in the cold temps.
