That is pretty light at least for the stuff I fly if you’re planes say are up to 40 lbs you would need 2 -10kg and one 5kg for the tail wheel. Do try have that capacity in there system.

But worst is at times I go down to the 3D line. Well there are some really talented people flying. But what is impressive is when you the little boys and girls about 10 years old fly 120 size planes so well and precise that they put 99% of the grown ups to shame really nice to see. I might get a chance to to Munich this year time will tell.
Just finished drawing up a 50cc profile aeroplane trying to get it printed but when I do it will be built and flown.

Wow those boys have good fingers. But to fly at the limit like that and a little over can be costly. I just could not imagine me flying a plane of the caliber so close to the limit that I could to loosing it at anytime.

Thats what is interesting is these pilots were at the edge but never out of thier ability to fly the plane . A couple of those crashes the plane just stop flying . That's what i found amazing pilots can out fly what the plane is capable of doing .

When you go to a competition like that do you get good access to the inside of the planes to actually see what equipment they use to fly so hard with. And if you did was there anything interesting or new or something you you and I don’t even know about.

Ok boys, nuts, bolts and screws. At the moment all my hardware is steel and some nylon. But really all I need steel screws for is my propeller and motor mounting bolts the rest could all be aluminum. Trying to find a supplier is difficult do any of you guys use aluminum hardware do any of you know of a good and reasonably priced retailer. Thanks

Yes you do if you know a pilot they can put on the support crew and get a pit pass for the five days of competition .
I did some scribing during the Wed and Thursday iMac and was asked to help scribe during the Freestyle on Friday evening but i want to see this flying from the pits which was amazing . The days before the event, Sat ,Sun Mon and Tuesday you can sit and walk through the pits , i didnt ask alot of question to the pilots as they were getting into the zone for practising . I did get quite about of time getting to know Spencer Nordquist and his father and the Las Vegas and California pilots Santi, Kim, Bruno ,Matt ,Sharaud,Cam and Aaron from Australia and Sacha from Florence Italy .This was invaluable .
I talked about thier Spencer and his father about thier Carf Extra 330 sc and what has been done over the five years . Along with the different type of batteries they use and prefer.
Mr Nordquist is an Electrical engineer so gave me insite to which type of battieres they use for the Futaba radio and why he didn't like the Life A123 as compared to the Lithiumploy from the performance . You will never get this info from any forum .

Got to talk with the owner of Powerbox and they were introducing thier new Transmitter which was beautiful , very similar to the new Jeti radio with the backup 900mhz receiver . In Europe they are getting alot of interferance with the 2.4Ghz radios so they are using this 900mhz to help with performance and they have a tighter band width than here in North America . The Powerbox radio was beautiful and the screen could be seen in the bright Tucson sky with no color wash out , a bit pricey .

Most of these top pilots who are Sponsored get thier gear at cost so that helps but not everyone gets this advantage . Talked to the owner for RC Depot and he told at TAS that he throughout the mold for JR28 radio and that the market wasn't that large for this radio .Oh my
I didnt know they were that hugh in the model business but they are , very nice guys from Japan ..

Snoopy1 you have to spend some time a TAS to really appreciate the vast knowledge and skill all of these pilots and aircraft possess.
You get to talk to the venders and even some of the Bosses that run the companys like Powerbox and all the guys at DA who are the backbone of this iMac Freestyle flying and a tour through thier shop and you will be amazed at all the tech that goes into these engines.

Some of the guys have talked about micro fastener also RTL fasteners and have you got account with McMaster Carr you can check with them .

Thanks for that I guess it is the best of the best there. Did you drive down or fly down to the competition. Man it is a long way for me about 32 hours it is almost 2300 miles. But I guess once is always nice to do. Probably would have to have a pocket full of cash because there is probably a lot nice things to buy for aeroplanes. Never heard about the new radio from power box. Interesting the comment about interference on 2.4 I have never had interference but at JoeNall I thought I did, there is talk about it especially amongst the jet boys. At one time I thought I had some but not sure I landed and got very apprehensive. But you know at JoeNall there could 1000 radios on at once and everyone on telephones it must a very noisy place for the rc hardware to operate in. Thanks for review on the Tuscan show.
