Lol I gotcha. Yeah #33 is refered to as the good electrical tape. Some other stuff out there I think it’s #59 that absolutely sucks. Once it’s below like 50 degrees outside the 59 stuff becomes hard and brittle and will not stretch like it needs too.
Hi BalsaDust you mentioned that you know some body that cuts the parts for from Acad drawings and that you had to colour the lines a certain way for the cutter. I am thinking of cutting a set of ribs for a 40% wing for I plane I would like to improve the performance on need 32 ribs from 32” long by 3.2” tall to the smallest 20” long by 2” tall. Can this person do it and what do you think the cost will be.

I restored a few cars with an electrician friend that always sang the praises of #33

I’m sure he could cut them for you. Not sure on cost but the couple of kits he is selling I feel he is selling for a fair price. As far as colors on plans I just made it easy for him. I will post a pic in a bit when I fire my laptop up to explain. It wasn’t something he asked for just something I thought would help him out.

Do you take into account the diameter of the router bit or just sand the parts square afterwards. What I am trying to ask is the slot for a spare will have a radius in the corner that radios do you sand it square. What thickness can he cut in ply and balsa.

So you can see in the pics here that I draw the radius and just sand it square afterwards. Green lines meen cut on the inside of the line and blue lines meen cut on the outside of the lines. Not sure how thick of ply he can cut but I know he can cut up to 1/2” balsa at least. I know he is cutting some 1/8” ply for me but I would assume he can cut thicker. He built a pretty heavy duty machine. Anything 1/4” and smaller he uses a smaller bit so the radius of all inside corners needs to be .032” and anything 3/8” and thicker the radius of inside corners needs to be .063”. These are the numbers he shared with me. I will shoot him a pm and ask if he minds me sharing his email with you to discuss it further. He is a super cool dude. Flew with him out in TN a couple years ago.

Thanks for taking the time to help and answer my questions. I will now look into drawing up the ribs and see how to continue for there.

Damn I'm hungry
The HS-225 mini servo showed up yesterday and I just got it in the plane tonight. Made new choke and throttle push rods with ball links on the carb side and clevis on the servo side. Trial fitted the wing too a bit earlier today. Fits perfectly. Thumb screws went right in. All repair work except for cutting a new wind screen is done :).
