The 'What did you do in your workshop tonight?' thread

In doing that might I recommend this. Looking at the fuse all the vertical supports are CNC cut and it remains one piece. Instead make notches in the outer rails of the fuse and lay the vertical supports down in the cut files. It will be a little more work to build but will be well worth it in strength as right now in my opinion those verticals are providing no strength at all with how the grain is running.
Good advice. I appreciate the feed back!

Tonight in the workshop I got started on another bookshelf for my daughter’s room. We should have never taught that kid to read. Costing us a fortune in books and shelves.:p

My wife, I and our kids are voracious readers. Always have been. I'll read a great novel in 1 evening. We punish our kids (if we need to) by withholding books from them. We have books and bookshelves everywhere.

Tonight I tried my hand at building a Vanessa cg rig. It seems to work although I haven't really done the balance yet. I realize i need to have the cowl on to check the cg. :oblong: I also picked up a new ISDT Q6plus and modded an old Xbox power supply to work with it.

This is the only model airplane related work I've done so far in 2018. I drilled a few holes in an ammo can to make a Lipo box and did a bad spray can job with Rustoleum Hammered finish paint that didn't turn out hammered looking.

Ok gentleman I am not good at build threads and I am slow at building. And to answer @stangflyer question yes that is the plane and it one of those old fashione stick build kits that they give a ton of balsa and tell you to turn it into an aeroplane. I was hoping just to up date you gentleman every once in a while on what you do in your shop tonight, if that is ok.
Nope. You brought it up, now you have to do a full blown thread. (Even if it takes you six months to build it) hee hee.... you do what makes you feel comfortable. And don't forget we are all here to help if we can.

Sounds just like our household. We’d rather read than watch TV.

All this talk of reading is making my eyes burn. I am just going to look at the pretty pictures. Ah yeah... pretty red headed pictures! Lol

Travis, nice idea on the cg ma-cheen! I did something like this many years ago but haven't the space now to use something like that. I don't mean to sound ignorant and I apologize if I do, what is an ISDT Q6plus?
