Maidened the PAU Sukhoi today. I like it. Not as much power as I was expecting but was adequate. Only thing I didn't like was the rudder. It KE really well but I'm used to my slabs in straight and level flight just go hard over on the rudder to kick the plane around. Do that on this one and it drops a wing.
That DLE isn't anywhere near broke in yet so maybe after a few more flights and some tuning it will come alive.
I know what you mean about rudder and dropping a wing. I lost a couple birds when I first started flying bigger stuff for that very same reason. I was so use to flying profile foamies that it made for a hard transition to full fuse balsa planes.

I was impressed with the DLE I got from you though. I did the reed block and bowman ring mod to it before ever starting it. Fired it up and didn't have to touch the needles. Only once out of the 20 minutes of flight did it have a little bit of a mid range burble. I'm sure there is more in it as it breaks in and in a tune though.

Well, I went to the field yesterday and it was a beautiful day, albeit a little breezy with temps in the mid 80's. Had an AWESOME day sitting around and BS'ing with the other guys that were there and enjoying the relaxation. Funny thing is, I never took the Kaos out of the back of the Durango and STILL had a blast. . . . :big_yes:.

Nice flying! Looks like a fun little plane.

Well at first I thought it would be just another foamy, I've flown hundreds of foam airplanes. But then I actually flew it and was shocked at just how much fun it actually was, boy was I wrong! It feels just like a built up 48" airplane, flies very locked in, GOBS of fun to get right onto the deck and just roll about. Very clean flying airplane, highly recommended for anybody looking for a small foamy to toss in the truck/car/Jeep for a little lunchtime or afternoon session.
