Just thinking about the issues you had with the 61S and all I can think of is a new CC and bearings to get the CC pressure stabilized so the midrange / needle setting will work properly. From the last time we discussed this everything has pretty much been covered and everything inside the engine is new except the CC and CS. The new front bearing seal could be leaking as well so I posted a link for new bearing set as well for a great price. As I said before I will always take it back. The condition of the CC posted link is a new in package but the part itself is very old as per looking at the packaging. And it's kinda pricy. But it is an antique engine now and you know how antiques can be! LOL

Sorry did not mean to blow up this thread @camss69

No problem!

Send it in to Richard at YS! The guy can fix anything and is very reasonable price wise. I have sent him engines I didn't think could be or worth fixing and every time I get a running engine back.

Yep. Good guy :attaboy:. As a matter of fact I got the "matched" piston, liner and con rod from him that's in David's 61LS. David @HRRC Flyer I would hold on to the old piston and liner that I sent with the engine as it is obviously not the total culprit. My gut feeling is the front bearing leaks pressure and the front bearing housing may be out of round in the CC causing the excessively rich midrange issue. I see the YS 61S "classic" is also available but this engine has a ringed piston.
