This evening I got the tail brace wires made. They are made out of 2-56 threaded rod, with Dubro steel clevises. I made the tabs from .032" aluminum.

The tail brace wires on this model are functional, It would have taken a lot more structure in the tail to not need them.

Gorgeous!
You may see a need to change out the bungees frequently, they stretch out pretty quickly with use. I am an old long hair and use em all the time and they aren't the same quality as bungee cord, I use that on my 1/3 scale N28 (see avatar) and it lasts a long time.

Whoa crap, haven't posted for a few days!! Lol

Hasn't been much to take pictures of though as I've just been getting the hinge pins in and all the hardware locked down. The last couple parts are in the mail, and really all that's left is to run the engine on the test stand, then bolted back to the airplane, plumb the fuel system and program the radio.

Oooh, there is a picture for ya! the flying wires are all finished. I painted the broomsticks with some silver Testors model paint and attached them to the wires with some white string and a drop of Zap.

With the Krier just a few days away from being done, I've been planning the next build. Unfortunately that means something needs to go to make room (and fund the next one) so the decision was made to sell the Trueworthy Pitts......

I know, I know, it sucks.... But, it's really big and I just don't fly it as much as I do the smaller stuff anymore. I'm going to list it in the classified's shortly as just the airframe for $450. And when it's sold, I'm going to start buying wood for the Hot Kanary (silver lining to the drag of selling it).

Anyway, for now its back to finish and fly the Krier :D
