Let's just say there are 325 windmills installed with in 60 miles of my house. When I say windy it blowing 30mph and up. At 20mph flying is good around there.

In this area were rarely get winds that high. The guys around here bolt when winds are around 8-10. You could go to most any of these clubs when winds are blowing around 10 and above and it would be a ghost town except for the rare daredevil.

Seriously, get a gyro. Makes windy day flying much more enjoyable. I like the Aura 8. It is reasonably priced. I have one in a small jet and love it. No joke, we test flew a hand launch turbine plane in sustained 30mph with gusts over 40. A faster sport plane will handle wind well too.

I have had a tail gyro in my Decathlon for many years because of the wind and that it never blows perfectly down he runway and it was a big help. I believe you guys are all correct I will be getting a three axis gyro and see how it does. Well if it works great and I love it I will need several that is going get expensive. I new you would help me spend my money.
