Lights in my Sabre X

Other than being a great plane for low and slow flying, the Sabre X features red transparent covering for the entire fuse and wings. I'm tempted to install a lighting system that takes advantage of that.

The problem is I have zero experience with lights on RC planes. I'd like to cut as little covering as possible. Is there a light I can mount at the inboard end of the wings that spreads the light across the rest of the wings? Where should I start looking?

This is probably not much help, but have you looked around for some sort of small LED spotlight? Mount them in the fuse and point them outward. I have seen several tiny LED flashlights that are ridiculously bright and would do the job, but I am not sure how you would wire them up.
Just brainstorming here. Finding a single LED bright enough might be hard due to the power requirements. I would be interested to see what you come up with. Transparent covering looks pretty cool when lit from the inside if you ask me.

Something like this?

I think this is the one you would want for that size of plane.

Thanks! I May try that. Maybe just mount three spots between the wings pointing sideways and backwards. That ought to do it...

You could maybe cut a small hole at the end of each wing and run a string of lights through it. Just a thought.............
